This year's Golden Globes were lackluster to say the least, but there were a few shining moments.

I cringe every time...

Here are my Picks!

Kate Winslet's surprised face. She really is the greatest.

Jonah Hill being high as hell while presenting with Channing Tatum.

Aziz Ansari's being the cutest human. If you haven't watched Aziz's Netflix series Master of None yet you need to immediately!

America Ferrara and Eva Longoria speaking the truth.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg making me laugh more than I ever expected.

Jen and Amy: America's favorite BFFs.

Jen winning Best Actress in a Comedy.

Oscar Isaac winning (and being on stage) is all I ever needed from the night.

Brie Larson: Queen.

Hit me with your favorite moments in the comments!

Happy November!

Let's get to this month's picks!

November 4th: Brooklyn

Saoirse Ronan finally getting notice for her work. If you haven't caught her in How I Live Now, you must!

November 6th: Spectre

Daniel Craig is by far my favorite James Bond so far and I'm so thrilled that Sam Mendes is returning for Spectre!

November 6th: Ellie Goulding's Delirium Album
I've been a fan of Ellie's since the beginning and getting ready for Ellie's new pop-centric album is making me bounce. Listen to it here! Additionally, Ellie and Scarlett Johansson teamed up with American Express to produce a fantastic livestreamed show featuring her new album, which you can check out here. There are few artists where their live performances make the work even better. Ellie is one of those artists for sure.

November 6th: Master of None
I've loved Aziz since we first saw him on screen in Parks and Recreation, since then he's popped up in small roles in various films. His persona on social media and his book really have reaffirmed my love of him, so I cannot wait to check out his show. I've heard nothing but great things!

November 13th: One Direction's Made In The A.M.
Guys, you know I had to and, trust me, this album is so lively and fantastic from start to finish. They're my happy place and what a beautiful place it is.

November 20th: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

I will cry. It will be devastating, but, oh god, I can't wait. (Update: I cried...heavily.)

November 20th: Marvel's Jessica Jones

Update: I knew that I'd like this series if it was half as good as Daredevil was and holy shit, it's absolutely amazing. Kilgrave is by far the creepiest villain that Marvel has had so far.

November 25th: The Night Before

I'm a sucker for a good Seth Rogen movie (Neighbors was hysterical) and The Night Before looks right up my alley.

November 25th: Creed

Michael B. Jordan is such a huge talent. I've not seen a Rocky film before this, but the acting in this has drawn me right in.

Ron Swanson's clearly ready. Are you?

Everything You Thought You Knew About L-O-V-E Is Wrong by Aziz Ansari (Time Magazine): In theme with his new book, Modern Romance, Aziz talks all about love and how we acquire it in the modern age. Aziz's writing is intelligent yet accessible, filled with all of the Aziz swagger we all know and love.

99 Homes trailer

Looks like powerhouse performances all around and I can't wait to see Andrew Garfield continue to break all expectations. Such a talent.

Parks and Recreation Blooper Reel: This is a must see. Just wait until they act like elderly people...

Wes Anderson's The Shining

Talk about a heck of a Grand Budapest Hotel / The Shining mashup!

Gilmore Girls Reunion at ATXFestival: I miss Gilmore Girls so much. If you haven't watched it yet, what are you waiting for?! Hit up Netflix and then let's flail.

Z For Zachariah trailer

Not only does this immediately hook me from the premise, it's got a fantastic cast with such brilliantly eery cinematography. You can count on me opening weekend!

Letter from Lauren: June Shape Up: Lauren Conrad's stellar approach to changing how her website promotes healthy living and the terms used to talk about it is all about body posiitvity and doing what works for you rather than the group. I love this on so many levels.

Tune in next week for more Picks and Flicks!
